Having had our Covey training several years back, this info-graphic highlighting the seven habits of highly effective teachers who use technology caught my eye. What I loved about it was the simple, yet thought-provoking message it sent to educators. I am a huge proponent of "starting with the why" when it comes to technology. While I don't necessarily agree with the statement that "technology for technology's sake is dangerous," I do believe that we need to ensure that the integration of technology has a meaningful purpose.
The remainder of the seven habits really address an educator's "frame of mind." Most of these are reflections of highly effective teachers whether technology is involved or not. A positive attitude coupled with the ability to remain open-minded in this ever-changing and constantly-growing world of technology goes a long way in the improvement of instruction, learning and of course, technology integration.
